Severance
SEVERANCE is a 45-minute cyberpunk action/drama set in a wild and lawless galaxy. It's a space opera with flashes of BLADE RUNNER and PRISON BREAK.
Severance follows an ill-tempered genetically engineered convict, REEVE, and his eclectic shipmates as they flee their corporate pursuers while attempting to extract the information stored within Reeve's head.
After forcing his escort ship to crash land, Reeve escapes and stumbles across BECK, an eccentric spaceship captain whose crew recently mutinied. Reeve reluctantly teams up with Beck after taking the man's ship back, and they flee from their corporate pursuers.
The two men encounter a brash female bounty hunter, CAM, and her tech-savvy (if a little peculiar) teenage partner, LINK. After the two capture Beck, they're targeted by the corporation and dragged into the mix. Cam, not content with herself waist deep in trouble, embroils a spiritual mechanic, CROSS, into fixing Beck's ship and getting them to safety.
The final accidental vigilante thrown into the mix is a more levelheaded EVE, a scientist who works for the crew's corporate antagonists. But after the planet she was stationed on is destroyed by the very corporation she works for, she joins their crew.
SEVERANCE is a show that examines personal character struggles in a captivating environment with just the right balance of action, drama, and comedy.
