Economical Cross-pollinisation (Screenplay)

A conversion of the short story into a short film, the dialogic nature of the story made it an interesting idea for a short film. The premise being "A Suit meets the Handler in a bar to discuss his corporate defection".

Also, being a big fan of the "Action Film Quiet Drama Scene", I wanted to take the thematic elements of one of those scenes and condense it into something which could be a short film that would hint at other machinations both before, and after the scene. Plus, I also enjoy instances of characters being portrayed through their dialogue as opposed to their actions.

I think the reason we're not privy to this so much on the big screen is that sometimes the scenes are viewed as incidental and don't forward the plot as much as they do to provide character development and the reasons for their actions. Obviously, these are not explicitly detailed but more suggested.

Read on.
